Covid-19 Update : As we are sure you have heard, Alberta dentists are now able to move forward into providing full treatment for our valued patients as part of Stage 1 of the Alberta relaunch. Although this is a very exciting time for us as we have missed our patients dearly, please be patient with us as we implement our strict provisions to maintain your safety.

We have recently received the required protocols and guidelines from the Alberta Dental Association & College. In addition to meeting these requirements, we are developing our own strict plan to ensure the continued safety for both our patients along with our dental team.

We want to assure you that your comfort and safety has always been our TOP priority, and with that, nothing has changed. Since closing our office for routine care, we have been waiting for this moment to welcome you and our entire team back, with additional precautions in place.

Many things around the office will look different. Updates have been made to ensure your next visit is a positive and safe experience. We have installed iqair air purifiers into each dental treatment room to ensure the surrounding air is purified (iqair.com), we have secured appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for our team amongst a range of other precautions that have been put in place

We are pre-screening every patient for symptoms of Covid19 the day before your appointment and again upon arrival. Your temperature will be taken by our staff using a touchless (Infrared) thermometer when presenting for an appointment. If your temperature is 38 Celsius or higher you will be asked to leave and not return for the specified 14 day self quarantine requirement. Our staff will also be checked twice per work shift to ensure the proper guidelines are being followed.

Please bring your own mask and wear it to your appointment. Please keep in mind that although we cannot provide masks for you, a facial covering of some kind is appreciated as the provincial guidelines for social distancing continue. These masks can be a regular paper mask, a cloth mask or even a scarf.

Thank you for your understanding throughout this process. Our team simply cannot wait to see your smiling faces again. We are ready for you and hope that you will see that we are coming back better and stronger than ever!!

The most appropriate treatments and technology don’t necessarily have to be the most costly or popular; our Edmonton dentists do what’s best for each individual patient’s oral health.

Dr. Diamond, Dr. Renzi, Dr. Russett and Dr. Winand use digital x-rays and photography to educate patients about what’s going on with their oral health. By promoting better health knowledge, our office helps to keep patients involved and active in the realization of their treatment goals.  If any of our patients are anxious or fearful, or have special needs, we help them feel comfortable and relaxed with sedation dental care.

Modern Dental Technology

At Diamond Dental, we believe in the importance of photography and diagnostic imaging for better treatment planning and patient education. We take up-close photos of broken and fractured teeth, so patients can see what we’re seeing.  We also use digital panoramic x-rays (to look at the jaw, sinuses for any irregularities), periapical x-rays (to look at tooth roots and surrounding bone health or advanced gum disease) and bite-wing dental x-rays (to detect cavities/tooth decay), for in-depth examination of injured teeth, sinuses, and even upper/lower jaw relationships.

We recently added the iTero® digital impressions scanner to comfortably record your teeth in order to make crowns, night guards and sports guards. However, we still do offer "putty" impressions if that's a preference of our patients.

At your complete examination appointments, our dentists always perform a thorough visual exam of the oral tissues to detect any suspicious cells. Not only this, but our Dentists have access to a Velscope® at our clinic, to use on a case by case basis. The Velscope® is an adjunctive device used together and as a supplement to your regular oral examinations, if the dentist sees the need to.

Digital x-rays considerably minimize the exposure of radiation to our patients and by using imaging diagnostic tools and technologies, our dentists are better able to pinpoint problems areas, recommend exactly the treatments that patients need, and avoid over-treatment or unnecessary procedures. Dr. Diamond, Dr. Renzi , Dr. Russett and Dr. Winand love to help patients get healthy new smiles!
